Diary Of A Woman Trying To Beautify Her Blog!

I've put myself through the hell of Blog Beautification! It sucks, badly. Trust me when I say, it sucks! Blogger used to be so easy. Not any more. I'm ready to move on and need to find a new host. I'm officially a FACEBOOK CHEATER! I have cheated on my blog for way to long. Blogging and writing is therapeutic.

Riddle me this. Am I trying to make my blog sparkle and pretty to hide the non sparkly I'm feeling inside? Hmmm. That's the question. I will continue to make this try and look pretty, because I like looking at pretty aesthetics. Maybe I just want the pretty to hide the hell. I haven't quite figured it out, yet. The journey will only help me discover the answer, if there ever is one to find.

On To Prettify (As Mama Boo Boo's June would say,...I just quoted something from Honey Boo Boo LOL)

Diary Of The Third Act....Here It Comes

A second act is inevitable. I believe we get as many acts as we want in our lifetime. I feel like I'm nearing the end of my second act and ready for the third fabulous act. What shall it be? I have no idea. My kids and family are always center stage, but now I need do something for my self worth and loveliness. The lonely and looking back are behind me. Working on the here and now, including the future drives my moments coming out of my solace.

Am I enough for you? I have given up enough of me to be everything for you, but I forgot about the loveliness that I am. I wasn't allowed to live my dreams, because I took care of everyone else in my world. Now it's my turn.

I am ready for that next act of mine. I'm ready for some of those dreams.

Crazy of Moving!

From Diary of A Move With Kids, Dogs, and one crazy GYPSY!
Our move is about done and it has been EVENTFUL! Three kids, two dogs, a husband, Barb ( my GPS,) and Gypsy (his GPS) make for one crazy trip through the south. Barb is the perfect GPS and Gypsy, well Gypsy takes routes like, well, a Gypsy!

Hotel living consists of two rooms, with dogs and three of us in one and two in another. Traveling with dogs makes me think, why?! What was I thinking?! We don't have crying babies with us, but we do have barking dogs. Along comes my savior, to help save my sanity!

What is the SAVIOR? Hmmm... Wait for it! Wait for it!
Doggie Daycare! Just make sure you don't call it Doggie Daycare to the staff, because they call it Doggie Day Camp! It's the deal of the century! My pups love it! We drive past it and they go nuts!

That's it for now.
Until I have a little Sparkle or Pink to share!
Doggie Daycare Mommy! Don't take another picture! Let's go!

Mommy, I love my picture getting taken by you!

My Sparkling Mermaid

The Mermaids of Norfolk
There are so many things to do when we make the big move. Something fun will be to find the Mermaids. Ok, sounds very much a "chick thing," and that's ok to think that. I am of the female persuasion. :) There are about 170 mermaid sculptures, like this one, but painted and decorated differently. I can't wait find and photograph all my mermaids. My boy just told me, "Mommy, don't go overboard on the Mermaids."

Me go overboard on something? Never! Ha!

Sparkly yes. Feeling sparkly, not so much.

How lucky our we this June? We found a beautiful, historic, and turn key home in the heart of the historic district of Norfolk. I had no idea such a place existed in such a military community. It's classic gem, among other classic gems. The difference is that this is our Colonial gem. I'm happy and so excited to move in, in the next 6 weeks.

Not so sparkly is the feeling that I need to pack up and change everything. Florida hasn't been my favorite, but the kids have really found their niches. From the high school, to the friends, and finally the the swim team that has become my two younger ones' haven. It's a hard one to tackle emotionally.

I'll tackle this head on and with all the grace I can conjure, in this soon to be 40 something of myself. xoxo
Until Later,

Gifting, Getting, Wine, and Ass Backwardness of FL!

Wonderful World of Christie....Diary from gifting, getting, wine, and ass backwardness of FL!
When my husband decided that he wanted to return ALL of his birthday gifts, from me, I could have really been mad. Then he said in the same breath, "Let's just return these things now and get you some new clothes." Well, how could I argue with that? LOL. I'd say he's the HARDEST person to shop for, but actually He's lucky he has such a great wife. I have supplied him with every single gadget and electronic thing..plus the unmentioned good stuff...that a man could want. So, really, he's just lucky he wants for NOTHING! He did say a 32KG Kettlebell would be nice. UGH! He's been doing kettlebells before they were cool. LOL. We have so many freaking KBs.

Next, let me introduce you to class. Meet my new favorite thing, The Target Wine Cube.
I pull out my fancy crystal, because that's how I roll, and taste the YUM. It really is tasty.
Finally, I am going to work out this morning. My kids seem to be the only kids who have to go to school on Presidents' Day, but hey, here in the Tampa area they will give the kids the day off for the state fair and the Strawberry Festival! LOL. Now here's a state with their priorities!

PS...Rick Santorum Scares me.
Until I something good to say, later...

Whitney Houston - Didn't We Almost Have It All

Wonderful World of Christie...Diary Of My Memories In Song.

D Cups Do Not Need Padding!

The Wonderful World of Christie...Diary From The Quest For Sexy..

Just another fun fun fun conversation with my hubby. He loves me. He's a man. There's some TMI language, but if you read me, then you know how the words just flow from the fingers.

"Hunny, I need you to do something today. GO on VS (Victoria's Secret) and order something," He said with a sexy little wink. LOL.
"Ok, but does it have to be sexy or can it be comfy?" I asked, without any coffee and holding the peanut butter knife while listening to the dogs gobble up their food. It was quite the sexy moment.

Gotta love him. :) I'll take a look, but my ass is so not thong or semi thong worthy, in my opinion. LOL. I've got the boobs, though. Oh and PS, when did it become standard to put padding in bras? D cups do not need paddingk I'm done
.

Happy Friday Friends and Lurkers. Comment and I'll follow you!
Find a little PEACE today and embrace your sexy. Sexy does not mean perfect. I'll tell myself that today when I'm ordering the hubby's requested item. :)

A Little Bit Crazy

Wonderful World of Christie's...Diary Of Some Crazy,

Chelsea Handler is my favorite! I've read her books, I've listened to her books, and if you want a never ending laugh then pick up any of them. Her new show makes my night, well not my night, but my Thursday morning without kids and with coffee time, after my Sexy Matty Lauer time.

"Where did you get that Forever 39.".. New Waitress in slutty t-shirt to prudish and breast feeding Sloan. (Natasha Legger,  Are you there Chelsea?)

" I am breast feeding. Where did you get that, in the stripper section of Abercrombie and Bitch?"...Sloane. (Chelsea..Are you there Chelsea)

After waking up to my coffee brewed all over my counter and not any in the pot, because it leaked to a clogged brewing spout, I was ready for a nap already! After cleaning up the mess, making lunches, breakfasts, getting the kids all ready, I was overjoyed with my whining and crying daughter. Oh, what fun to listen to my child cry for 20 minutes, because she wanted to STAY HOME! Oh give me a break. That was the last thing I needed. I wasn't functioning. I gave in and told her to go her room and to bed. I couldn't deal with her. Needless to say she stayed home. I was done and it wasn't even 8:30.

Am I bitching? Yes, I am bitching. I realized I wasn't functioning and handling the morning very well and it hit me as I went for a cup of freshly brewed coffee. I grabbed my coffee and glanced down at my Starbucks bag. Wait for it....Wait for it.....IT WAS DECAF!  The new packaging makes it almost impossible to make a distinction between regular and decaf!

Note to Starbucks, PLEASE FIX YOUR PACKAGING! It's not working for me!
On that note I will say TTFN. I'm off to watch House Hunters International and decompress. Dinner is over. Migraine meds worked. I am taking a Klonopin and seriously tuning out everyone.
XOXO,
Xty

Suck it up and Wait!

Wonderful World of Christie's..Diary From Here We Go Again,

Another move is upon us with the Marine Corps. It's inevitable that every 3 years we are going to move. Timing of this move couldn't be worse, though. I have to move my daughter at the end of her Junior and beginning of her Senior year of high school. Hard? Yes.  Fair? No. I did it at her age and know the havoc it wrecks on the academic and social structure of the child.

My middle daughter is in Middle School. Talk about crap. She gets to begin 8th grade in a new school and I couldn't imagine anything more difficult at that age. My goal is to get us into a neighborhood with kids and kids in her age group! She needs someone people to, at least attend school with on the bus or share lunch with during the day. Sigh.

My son will go with the flow. He is still young enough to just make friends everywhere! I'm not writing off his potential anxiety, but I do see a little more ease in that situation.

The bright spot is that when we move we will move somewhere we have been before. I am the one that must get over the anxiety and potential heartbreak of where we may end up, if it's not where I want move! Happiness is where you find it! I have that sign in my kitchen. It's time for me to suck it up once again and wait! Ugh.
XOXO
Until we meet again.

Sparkle Sparkle Where Did You Go?

Wonderful World of Christie's..Diary From The Less Sparkly,

The dazzle isn't here. The coffee has run dry. Spirit fingers are hiding in the webs of these fingers that are just the extension of my unspoken life. What the fuck. Sometimes days are just dull and maybe that's why I left the Christmas tree up for a few extra days this year. I loved the sparkle of the lights brightening up the otherwise dullness of my little realm.

Dixie Chicks - Not Ready To Make Nice

This is my favorite video right now. I watched the disgusting interview Chris Wallace had with Santorum. It brought me back to this. A trio of women villified and threatened during the war and their views. Then there's Santorum skating by with a vile attack on gay men in the military. Video will be to follow. Call this Man out! Dixie Checks need to come back out and sing it!

Laugh, Laugh, and Laugh Some More

Wonderful World of Christie..Diary From My Last Few Days...

Seriously, shopping for panties shouldn't be this hard! They're either Teeny Tiny, why even wear them, or granny panties! Then having your 17 year old get frustrated with you....delightful.
"Mommy, It's not the 90's."
"Well, frankly I'd go back in Time and stock up on VS from back then!"

Then great advice from the husband.
Me: Tom can you see my leopard print bra through this top (thin yet totally black top) ? Tom: Oh no Hunny you look great! Out at the store with girls. K: Nice leopard print bra mommy. Way to be sexy! Thanks Hunny! Just waiting for my boobs to show up on Walmart!

Humor keeps us happy! Laugh, Love, and then Laugh some more friends. It can help us during our lowest moments.

She's Staying Up!

Wonderful World of Christie's Diary.... from the day after Christmas!

Well, I'm leaving up my sparkling winter wonderland for another few days! Am I still feeling totally Christmassy? I think I'm just ready to relax and just soak the rest of the year in while I can, before it's too late. Everything seems to have quieted down and I'm all caught up on the laundry that needed to be folded and hung! Now I think I'll chill for a bit and have an iced tea. Cheer my love bugs!
I hope Santa brought you health, smiles, and joy. If he didn't, then I am sending you wishes of love and joy!
Until my Wonderful World arrives tomorrow...

When The Wii Craps Out Two Nights Before Christmas!

Wonderful World Of Christie's Diary Of Two Nights Before Christmas!

Twas two nights before Christmas and all through the house everything was cozy and nowhere a mouse! The stockings are hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon will be here.
The problem arose when the kids chose to play, a game on the Wii to pass some time away.
The disk was gently put in the machine that is the Wii,
But it did not see the game in when the remote pressed Said Wii.
The reset was pressed.
The game was unplugged.
The disks were wiped clean, yet to no resolve.
Mrs. Claus ran to Walmart at 10PM, in hopes to beat the crazy crowds the Eve to be.
The opti cleaner recommended did not work and the games are still out of luck because of the dirt.
Please oh please, don't make me go buy a new Wii, but gifts on the list will need home to be played.
What to do?
Oh what to do?
Maybe a hot toddy will bring a new veiw.
The option is clear and with full cheer Mrs. Claus wiill drive to the Wall of all Marts,
Full with Christmas Eve Cheer.

The only
Sigh.

Until it's the night before Christmas...

Reality Shows and Pinterest and Of Course FB!...Oh and Words With Friends!

Wonderful World of Christie Diaries From My Not So Secret Addictions!

Let's just start with Pinterest. Is there anything more addicting than looking at other's works of perfection? Seriously, how many Martha's are out there with perfect rooms, crafts, quotes, and dating your husband ideas?! I'll tell you that there are so many that I feel a little less than superior at this moment! LOL! It's OK. I know my talent lies in the unknown, at this moment in time. I am the epitome of a multitasker, who tries. I'm addicted to do the "idea" of completing one of these projects on my Pinterest boards! What greatness I would feel to be an over achiever at something for the house or my style!

Reality Show are another addiction that I am not embarrassed to admit I watch on a nightly or daily basis! Why not? Screw you Real World! You were the beginning of the end of real TV. You brought us the beginning addictions to REALITY! It Started in NY and went to LA. Then the Osborn's and Nick with Jessica really got me wrapped up and buying all the smut in hopes that the rumors of Nick and Jess breaking up wasn't true! Sadly, the newlyweds broke up and then there was the Bachelor! The Damn Bachelors and their screwing ways! If it weren't for Tristan I and her grand wedding my hope for real love on that show would be lost! Kelly Clarkson brought us Idol and despite Clay Aiken and "The Gray Haired Guy" it's been a fixture in my world. It's just not idol, though, without Simon! Why fake it? Seriously...no Simon equals no Idol. I could go on, but I'll just end with Tori and Dean. Aaaaahhhh, Tori has made me fall in love and reminisce about my 90210 years. She made up with her mom and all her Tori businesses make her a force! Yay! I love the underdog coming out on top!

Hmmmm, now I'm on to FB. Is there anything that's been more life changing in the last couple of years? New friends, old friends, blog friends come to life, and crazy picture stalking come to life. Admit it, because I know I'm not the only picture stalker! LOL.

Facebook has led to Words With Friends! I love my WWF addicts who keep the daily word search alive. I used to check my email first, but now it's Facebook and WWF! LOL. Live on my addictions. I don't foresee any twelve step group anytime soon, but I surely understand Alec Baldwin flipping his lid and slamming a bathroom door when he probably had a great word or in the midst of reshuffling the tiles in hopes of a win!

Until I get through my addictions of the day..we will meet again,
xoxo

I Love Words...

Wonderful World of Christie's Diary Of My Love For Words

“Beginnings are usually scary, endings are usually sad, but it's what's in the middle that counts. So when you find yourself at the beginning, just give hope a chance to float up. And it will.”

Operation Bring Home Daddy Clause and Those Damn Weiners!

Wonderful World of Christie diary of Mrs. Clause waiting on Operation Daddy Clause To Get Home From Afghanistan!

Well Hubby's flight, not the two out of Afghanistan, but the one out of Qatar was delayed delayed delayed. It was because of a "broken" plane. Well, we've waited this long and a little longer is not a big deal at all! I'm just glad and so excited he gets to come home for Christmas. My girls are so happy DADDY is coming home! My son might be worried about what he's getting for Christmas, but then he said, "Well, I am being spoiled. The most important thing is Daddy coming home. I hate it when he's away." Sigh. And I thought he was being, indeed, spoiled.

Friday night I was at the mall, what the hell was I thinking, with the kids.  The boy decided he was going to become dramatic about gifts. WTH? He doesn't get like this, it's usually the girls. He was upset we were at the mall. He was pissed. He just wanted to get to the Apple Store! It's about others, he always tells his sisters. Maybe it was just him being overtired, but seriously I was done. I was driven to drink! I needed a Starbucks! I wanted a Gingerbread Latte and I didn't want it skinny! LOL! I walked in and the kids began to fight over who was going to get shotgun! I hate that term...Shotgun! Has it really come down to me needing to make a rotating seating chart?! Seriously.

Well, I was ready to scrap it all and just cry. My oldest came over and said, "Remember mommy your hormonal and it's late." Once again, someonen is telling me it's my period that's making me have a mood. Well, OK...Christmas could still be on and I would go chill. Finally my boy came over and hugged me. He was sorry. Then he said he figured out why he was in such a bad mood. Wait for it!

"Mommy, when we walked past that girly store with all the sparkled underwear, my wiener was hard and it hurt. Then I got in a worse mood when we went to that girl store that had all the perfumes and candles (bath and body works) I was really mad. I just wanted to find a boy store. I'm sorry mommy."

Well, that damn wiener! It's always about the men and their wieners! LOL. My poor buddy was just embarrassed. After he thought he broke his "wiener" the night before, I can understand him being pissed. Those damn sparkles on bras and G-strings can get those wieners all the time!

So bring home my Hubby Santa, Please! I need some extra testosterone in the house. The little guy needs big daddy to explain the wiener issues! I'm ill equipped in that area! Operation Bring Home Daddy Clause needs to happen ASAP!
xoxo
